Dark Portraits of Tattooed Models by Mattia Crepaldi

Milan-based photographer Mattia Crepaldi shares black and white portraits of tattooed and not only models on Behance profile. He teamed up with some of the most beautiful models of Italy and Europe, such as Ilaria Pozzi. They all have jaw-dropping tattoos, from neo traditional to geometric, and from tattoo masters such as Marco Galdo. Mattia Crepaldi’s portraits are diptychs, showing two different aspects or complementary sides of his model. The result is raw, dark, but also moving and breath-taking…

Ines Kozic

"The photography of young French artist Ines Kozic (Instagram) is hard to overlook. Hailing from Lyon, the 22-year-old dancer and professional model, who is currently a postgraduate student at the school of Fine Arts in the French city of Rennes, has been capturing images using her father’s camera from a young age. Kozic’s photography, a body of work of disarming simplicity with a character all of its own, is inspired by fairytales and body ornamentation like jewellery and tattoos." via Yatzer Ines-Kozic-15

VHS Skateboards by 5Boro

"New York City skate label 5Boro have added a set of throwback skate decks to their repertoire, following on from their pack of decks in collaboration with Brooklyn’s Smith Street Tattoo Parlour. Inspired by the artwork adorning VHS tapes in the early ’90s, the crew have issued eight decks whose artwork will be instantly recognizable to almost anyone born before 1990. The full set of decks are available now over at the 5Boro webstore." text by Highsnobiety

Tattooed Porcelain Figures by Jessica Harrison

Jessica Harrison proposes a multi-directional and pervasive model of skin as a space in which body and world mingle. Working with this moving space between artist/maker and viewer, she draws on the active body in both making and interpreting sculpture to unravel imaginative touch and proprioceptive sensation in sculptural practice. In this way, Harrison re-describes the body in sculpture through the skin, offering an alternative way of thinking about the body beyond a binary tradition of inside and outside.
