Métropolisson by Janol Apin

Janol Apin’s “Métropolisson” is a creative project that illustrates the literal translations of the names of various Parisian Metro station stops. The collection of photographs features more than 100 images of Apin’s friends posing in the underground subway stops; from an astronaut in the Champ de Mars station, to a couple dancing tango under the Argentine stop, he leaves nothing out.

Skull Armchair

Skull Armchair is an ominously powerful looking piece of furniture by French designer Harold Sangouard, aka Harow, that seems fit for anyone interested in comfort as they plot sinister moves. It definitely reminds me the work of another designer Maximo Riera with his series of "The Animal Chair"

An Instagram Short Film

Some of you might remember the first ever video created with Instagram "The Plastics Revolution – Invasión" and some of you who are curious enough to follow TED speeches might remember Blaise Aguera y Arcas speaking about Photosynth - a photo-visualiser using a crowd-sourcing photography from sources like Flickr. Here is a merge of both ideas. As Instagram has its own engine to give access to photos so French director Thomas Jullien made each image a little less ordinary, by weaving hundreds of these similar images together to create a stop-motion video. Jullien aimed to “create structure out of chaos”, and he does so beautifully with 852 different pictures from 852 Instagram users.

Loop Portraits by Romain Laurent

“The idea behind One Loop Portrait a Week was to re-capture some sort of creative rhythm or spontaneity I felt I lost. Every week I shoot a new portrait with no pressure or overall idea, just what comes into my mind.” Brilliant works!

Myosis by Gobelins students

The students of Gobelins strike again. “Myosis” is an existential love story, a lyrical tale of passion and the creative destruction sometimes necessary to stay in touch with it.

Saint Laurent Dance by Heidi Slimane

Hedi Slimane makes his directional debut for Saint Laurent with this film for the new Ballerina line, and boy is it lush. Debuted by Dazed Digital today, its stars the supremely beautiful model / dancer Lida Fox against an eerily-charged tune by Cherry Glazerr, 'Trick or Treat Dancefloor'.

Cinemacity App

The idea to merge old cinema with real urban navigation is not new. Few years ago a Briton called it Augmented Reality Cinema but never completed it and today we found that French Art TV channel gone further with this idea and released CINEMACITY web and mobile application. Cinemacity geolocates film excerpts throughout Paris, exactly where they were shot. Different cinewalks are available to users, enabling them to discover the city through the lens of cinema. I am wondering when Foursquare will do something similar http://vimeo.com/66319660
