Yumi Zouma - In Camera

Two teenagers have a date one night when their parents are out of town. The young lady wants to impress our young man with a surprise performance… and ends up taking it to a whole other level. The boy is caught off guard and feels awkward but it all works out in the end.

Yumi Zouma are a dream-pop band from New Zealand. Based in different cities around the world, the band collaborate online, and meet to play live. Following on from the success of their second album “Willowbank”, the band released the short four-track “EP III” in late 2018.

In Camera” was the first single from the EP, and has become one of the band’s most triumphant tracks, garnering large-scale plays on streaming services and quickly becoming a fan favourite. Written over the course of five years, the roots of ‘In Camera’ stem from one of the band’s very first ideas - an effervescent guitar riff that juxtaposes minimalist production, reflective vocal melodies, and a driving bassline reminiscent of the band’s earliest material.
