A new voice of Britain is bursting in the 2020 - meet Georgia, shortlisted for the BBC’s Sound of 2020. Her new album, Seeking Thrills, is made with a particular image in mind: “a collective group of people dancing to a pulsating, electronic beat”.
MX ‘Ihminen’ pictures two angles in civil war setting. The first perspective follows father and son - who are assassinated and seek shelter. The second storyline goes a little back in time and follows their enemy in the very same battle, who has lost an important person and now seeks revenge.
The film explores the themes of compassion and violence as a form of expression, how different people react to it, confront it and how the acts of violence can separate us from one another. Ultimately the two narratives merge together and the two enemies re-discover the humane connection and find the redemption in form of compassion. Meanwhile the lyrics question what defines a good person.
The music video uses unusual blend of cinematic and musical storytelling. The 8 minute epic includes title sequences, audio landscapes and the track is re-arranged to evoke vivid emotions blending between the worlds of film score and pop sound.
MX ensemble is formed by an award winning Finnish musicians and ‘Ihminen’ is their first music video and single release. The song ‘Ihminen’ is mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Jay Z) and the video is directed by Sakari Lerkkanen.

“’Til We Disappear is the most personal song that the band has released. It’s based on a real-life event in the life of Taylor, but we wanted the video to reflect the emotion of that rather than a specific event. When brainstorming with our Director - Sterling - we wanted the video to feel like it wasn’t taking place in reality, and could have the viewer's own personal experience and emotion put into it. Its a relationship based video that, to me, can convey the emotions of loss, grief, anger, all of which I feel like can resonate with anyone who’s been tied up with a significant other.“
